Welcome to the Rowan-Cabarrus Community College Online Application.
Are you already a student at RCCC and want to change your program of study? Please do not attempt to change your program of study by submitting or resubmitting an online application. Current students (you have attended RCCC within the last two years) should complete an "Information Change" form in Student Services at any of our campuses.
You do not have to apply for admission every semester
Are you a high school student? If you are interested in the following programs: Learn and Earn Online, Huskins, or Dual Enrollment. Your programs require additional information that is not part of the online application, please see your high school counselor for guidance on taking courses at RCCC. Do not complete an online application.
We are glad that you are considering beginning or continuing your education with us. RCCC maintains an open-door admissions policy to all applicants who are high school graduates or who are at least eighteen years of age. Most of our degree, diploma, or certificate programs are taught at a level beyond high school. Therefore, a high school diploma or recognized equivalent is usually minimal preparation. If you have not completed high school, the college provides G.E.D. programs through the Pre-College Division.
Rowan-Cabarrus requires a social security number for the issuance of IRS Form 1098-T and for record-keeping purposes. "An eligible educational instituion, such as a college or university...must get your correct identifying number to file certain information returns with the IRS and to furnish a statement to you. For students, this will be your Social Security Number (SSN). Failure to furnish a SSN may subject you to a possible IRS fine of $50." IRS statement
We want to assure you that your personal information is handled according to applicable privacy regulations. Applications without a social security number require additional processing that will delay your application and course registration. You may stop by the Rowan-Cabarrus Admissions Office to provide information rather than submitting it via electronic media.
If you are a permanent resident or if you are in the United States with a particular visa, please bring your documentation to the Admissions Office for verification. A copy of your documentation is required prior to admission.
If you have any question about the admission process, please contact us at 704-216-3593 (North Campus in Rowan County), 704-216-3637 (South Campus in Cabarrus County), or visit our website
Thank you for your interest - we look forward to working with you to achieve your educational goals.
