2008-2009 APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION
Welcome to the East Carolina University Online Application
A message from the campus:

If you can not enroll for the term for which you originally apply, you must notify our office in writing before the last day of registration for that term. Failure to do so will result in having to complete a new application and submitting a new application fee.

If you are interested in attending East Carolina for teacher certification and already have an undergraduate degree, do not fill out this application. You must apply through the Graduate School:

Application Instructions

Fill out the online application as thoroughly as possible. Your failure to provide complete, accurate, and truthful information on this application will be grounds to deny or withdraw your admission, or dismiss you after enrollment. When you are finished, click the 'SUBMIT' button on the left column of any application screen. When you submit your completed application, you will be asked to provide information for a valid credit or debit card to which the $60 application fee will be charged. Print the application agreement statement that appears after you submit the application.

Individuals wishing to utilize a College Board or American College Testing (ACT) fee waiver in lieu of the application fee must use the downloadable-printable version of the ECU Application for Admission found at
http://www.ecu.edu/cs-acad/admissions/upload/Corrected_Adm_Application.pdf, submit the completed application form via regular mail as these requests are manually processed and reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Fee waiver requests must include financial hardship documentation, including a signed request from a school official.

Submit transcripts from high schools and colleges you have attended in envelopes sealed by the school. High School seniors who have taken classes at a college/university need to send all college transcripts to Admissions.

SAT I/ACT scores should be sent directly from CEEB/ACT or included on the high school transcript. NOTE: If a student submits ACT scores it must include the supplemental writing section.

After admission and prior to entering East Carolina University, you must also submit an immunization and medical record. All students entering a North Carolina college or university are required to provide this information.

Please note that admission to the university does not guarantee admission to all degree programs, many of which have additional application procedures and requirements.
