The deadline for Summer 2009 for Regular Freshman was April 15th, 2009.  This is now closed. The deadline for Transfer and Returning Student applications for the Summer and Fall 2009 Term was June 1st, 2009.  This is now closed. The deadline for Fall 2009 Regular Freshman was March 1, 2009.  This is now closed. The deadline for Transfer and Returning Student applications for the Spring 2010 Term is Novemeber 15, 2009 and is still open. The deadline for Fall 2010 Freshman Early Action is November 15th, 2009 and will open August 1, 2009. The Deadline for Fall 2010 Regular Freshman is March 1, 2010 and will open August 1, 2009.   It is important that you complete the appropriate application to ensure that you receive correct information during the application process.  This application is intended for Undergraduate, on-campus (Cullowhee, Asheville/Enka, and Cherokee North Carolina), for-credit or program study.  This form IS NOT designed for application to online or Distance Programs, Non-Degree or Certification Study Programs, Continuing Education, International Studies, or Graduate School. Last updated: 6/29/2009 12:51:00 PM ET How to Apply After reading the instructions, please complete the online application as thoroughly as possible. Your failure to provide complete, accurate, and truthful information on this application will be grounds to deny or withdraw your admission, or dismiss you after enrollment. When you are finished, click the 'SUBMIT' button on the left column of any application screen. Print the application agreement statement that appears after you submit the application. Return the printed application agreement statement to the Office of Admissions at least thirty days before the beginning of the semester for which admission is desired. Applicants must pay the nonrefundable application fee of $45 (may be waived for former applicants). Have a copy of your transcript sent from your high school and each college you have attended. High School seniors who have taken classes at a college/university need to send all college transcripts to Admissions. Take the Scholastic Assessment Test I (SAT I) or American College Test (ACT) and have your scores sent to WCU--Code 5897 (for SAT I) or Code 3172 (for ACT). (All public universities in North Carolina require scores for the writing section of the SAT or ACT. The writing section of the test is included with the SAT, but if you are taking the ACT you must make sure to register for the "ACT Plus Writing”.) Additional Information Click on the link below for information on: Admission Requirements New Student Orientation High School Transcripts Some North Carolina public high schools have the capability to electronically send official high school transcripts when you apply online. We encourage you to visit your school counselor to verify coursework and grades prior to requesting an electronic transcript. To send an electronic transcript, you must: Complete this online application. Make sure you have entered the following information in your profile and/or application: First and last name Date of birth NCWise ID (Your NCWise ID is your public high school student identifier number. Providing the NCWise ID is voluntary and if provided will give you the opportunity to request your high school transcript electronically) Gender Current high school E-mail address Be currently enrolled at a participating public high school in North Carolina (one that has converted from the SIMS system to NCWISE to manage student data). If you are not sure about your school, check with your school counselor or office staff. If these conditions were met when you submitted your application, you will then be presented with the option of sending your high school transcript electronically to that school. After you complete a screen, click the NEXT button at the bottom or on one of the sections listed on the left column to move to a different screen. Before you are allowed to jump screens, we will inspect your data on the current screen for errors or inconsistencies. If errors or omissions are found, you will be returned to the screen to correct your answer(s). Otherwise, your data will be saved and you will proceed to the requested screen. We also allow you to skip to another screen without your new data being saved. Be aware that if you use the Skip & Jump function on the left column, data on the current screen will not be saved and will have to be re-entered prior to submittal. When you have completed the application please check your work. When you are ready, click the 'SUBMIT' button located on the left column to submit the application.
